FOREST CEMETERY ASSOCIATION RULES AND REGULATIONS
The following rules and regulations are only those of a general nature. For a complete list, including rules and regulations specific to the purchase and upkeep of graves, crypts and niches, please contact the cemetery office.
- Forest Cemetery is private property and is open from sunrise to sundown each day of the year.
- Visitors are encouraged to use only roadways and park only in designated areas, not on the grass. Forest Cemetery Association is not responsible for any injury or damage.
- Speed limit on cemetery property is 7 mph
- Artificial decorations are permitted between Dec. 1 and March 1
- Christmas-themed decorations must be removed by March 1
- The use of metal, glass, concrete, wood, plastic, porcelain vases, statues, figurines, decorations, etc. are not permitted
- Pets must always be on a leash
- The cemetery shall not be liable for any lost, stolen or damaged flowers, floral containers or other items placed at a burial site. No food or beverage items are to be left on graves.
- Benches are permitted on graves only if used as headstones
- Planting of trees, shrubs or any plants producing thorns are not allowed
- Borders are to be within 20 inches in front of monument and not to exceed width of monument
- No shepherd hooks of any size are permitted
- Any items interfering with mowers or cemetery maintenance will be removed
- No decorations allowed behind monuments, unless both lots are owned by the same person
- Non-prescription drugs and alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the cemetery
- Forest Cemetery reserves the right to forbid and prevent assemblages which it deems improper
- No soliciting within the cemetery boundaries
- Cremated remains shall not be interned or scattered in any part of the cemetery without payment of any required fee
- Loitering, loud gatherings or any behavior that disturbs solemnity of the cemetery or interferes with the operation of the cemetery or damages property is not permitted
